The LA Clippers face off against one of their toughest opponents in the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, and fortunately, both teams are looking relatively healthy.
The Clippers only have one player listed on their injury report, and that's Moussa Diabate who is out due to a right-hand metacarpal fracture. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook are all listed as available. Mason Plumlee is also listed as available, but he's volunteering to be a third-string center with the rise of Daniel Theis.
The New Orleans Pelicans have three players listed on their injury report: Trey Murphy III, Matt Ryan, and Cody Zeller. Trey Murphy III is questionable with left knee tendinitis, Matt Ryan is out with right elbow surgery, and Cody Zeller is available with a face mask. Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum are all listed as available.
When it comes to tough matchups, the New Orleans Pelicans have been one of the Clippers' most difficult ones for years. The Clippers haven't beaten the Pelicans since April 3, 2022, and have lost nine of the last ten games against them. The last time LA beat New Orleans before April of 2022 was January 13, 2021. Trading for James Harden and having this entire new team should hopefully change the result for LA.
The LA Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans face off at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight.
