The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back after losing their first Summer League game with a victory today against the Miami Heat. LA won 103-83 , with Bronny James suiting up for this contest.

Bronny did not play in the Lakers’ Summer League opener, a game in which they lost to the Golden State Warriors. He was available today against the Heat, and even though he only played in the first half, he played well.

In 11 minutes, Bronny scored 10 points on 3-7 shooting and 2-5 from beyond the arc. He also wowed the fans with a slam dunk early in the game.

Overall the young players on the Lakers looked solid. Cole Swider led LA with 20 points on 7-10 shooting, while Darius Bazley added 16 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks off the bench.

To most, the NBA Summer League doesn’t mean much. For the young players, including newly signed rookies, it means everything. This is their chance to showcase their skills and hopefully earn a role on the team once the season starts.

As for Bronny, this is his chance to prove that he deserves a bigger role in the Lakers’ rotation come next season.
