The hits keep coming for Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent.

Vincent decided to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The procedure took place on Wednesday and will result in the guard missing up to eight weeks.

The Lakers’ signing of Vincent over the offseason was highly anticipated, but things could not have gotten off to a worse start for him with his new team.

Vincent missed a month and a half due to his left knee, returned last week, and then experienced more trouble, which led to his decision to undergo surgery.

After playing in 68 games in each of the last two seasons with the Miami Heat, Vincent has only managed to appear in five games for the Lakers this season.

Vincent was signed to a three-year, $33M deal by the Lakers over the offseason. They were expecting him to provide depth at the guard position, but major knee problems have proven to be an issue for the 27-year-old.

He and the team are hoping that this procedure will provide more of a long-term solution.
