Lakers Injury Report: Rui Hachimura Will Wear Face Mask, Return Soon
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers may soon be getting some big reinforcements to their lineup, as forward Rui Hachmiura is gearing up for his return to the court. Head coach Darvin Ham provided an update, saying that the young forward would likely be getting a face mask, and is hopeful to return soon.

Hachimura has missed the last few games due to injury, and LA has missed him within the games. He brings extra length on defense, and his ability to step beyond the three-point line to knock down shots is huge.

In 12 games this season, he is averaging 11.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He is shooting 42.9 percent from three this season as well.

Getting him back will be a major boost to this Lakers squad that has been decimated with injuries all year long. He gives them an extra scorer and someone they can rely on down the stretch of games,

Having the face mask will help protect him from further injury, and he will likely look cool while wearing it. It will most likely become a meme of some kind for Lakers fans to use, as always tends to happen when a situation like this happens.

We have seen multiple players around the league wear face masks in games, and it's always an interesting sight. Maybe it will give Hachimura special powers, and he can come back to help the Lakers start consistently winning games this season.
