NBA star LeBron James came up big for the Los Angeles Lakers during Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, dropping 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting.
James also tallied eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block in the 111-103 Lakers win. L.A. improved to 23-11 on the season with the victory.
A day after the win, James took to Instagram to share his appreciation for New Orleans for showing support for him. He also highlighted that he had a lot of fun during the Lakers' visit to Louisiana.
"Appreciate the BAYOU LOVE N.O. Hope it felt reciprocated back! That was FUN!" James wrote, while sharing several photos of himself during the Lakers-Pelicans contest.
James' performance impressed many, including Lakers teammate Luka Doncic. Considering how the four-time NBA MVP is still able to dominate even at 41 years old, Doncic admitted it's unlikely he'll be able to do the same when he reaches that age.
The veteran forward, however, did share that his age is affecting and will continue to affect his availability moving forward. Speaking to reporters postgame, James said that his status for back-to-back games will always be "TBD" or to be decided based on how he's feeling.
It's worth noting that James was ruled out of the Lakers' game on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs as a result. The Lakers cited left foot joint arthritis and right sciatica as the reason for his absence.
While James continues to battle the effects of age, he's making sure to contribute to the Lakers whenever he plays and give fans who come to watch their games something to remember.
