Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James was active for Thursday's win over the New York Knicks, but did not play. The 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft last appeared in LA's 136-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, scoring two points in four minutes of action.
James has made 18 appearances for the Lakers this season, averaging 1.4 points on 25.8% shooting. The former USC guard has appeared in three games alongside his father, LeBron James, spanning 10 total minutes (per NBA.com).
Spending a lot of time this season with the South Bay Lakers, James has turned in some strong G League performances.
Concluding a six-game home-stand with Thursday's win over New York, the Lakers are now set to begin a four-game road trip. This stretch begins at TD Garden on Saturday against the defending champion Boston Celtics, but the Lakers have announced James will not be there.
Per the team's latest injury report, James has been assigned to the G League.
