It seems like every NBA Draft all eyes fall on the Los Angeles Lakers. They are the NBA’s royalty, as was proven when the team was sold for a record $10 billion recently.
In the first round of the NBA Draft, the Lakers held zero draft picks as they traded theirs away in the deal with the Dallas Mavericks that saw Luka Doncic come to town. This hurts the Lakers’ future and depth not to be able to add a young and high-prospect to the roster.
The Lakers do have one pick in the draft, the 55th overall pick in the second round. This doesn’t give LA much to work with, so they’ve decided to take action.
The Lakers have made a move to get a slightly better selection. It’s been reported that the Lakers have traded their 55th pick and cash to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the 45th pick.

This may not excite fans as it is still a late-round draft selection. Still, if you’re a Lakers fan you want to see action by the front office. Who knows, maybe this is the first deal of a better one.
