Former Los Angeles Lakers controlling owner Jeanie Buss has given an $1,800 donation to an L.A. mayoral campaign. While an $1,800 donation from a billionaire NBA owner might not seem like much, it's actually the maximum donation allowed.
Buss is contributing to the mayoral campaign for ex-"The Hills" star Spencer Pratt, who is running for office.
Pratt, 42, believes that he is the one who can help turn around Los Angeles.
FOX LA confirmed the donation.
"Los Angeles Lakers minority owner and governor, Jeanie Buss, reportedly donated $1,800 to Pratt’s campaign, which is the maximum allowed amount under local election laws. Despite the contribution, Buss has not publicly endorsed a candidate in the tight race," they reported.

Pratt, who rose to fame during his reality TV career, has raised more than $500,000 in his mayoral campaign.
The Lakers, meanwhile, are currently in the middle of a first round Western Conference playoff series.
Los Angeles is leading Houston, 3-2, in their first round series. Game 6 of the pivotal Western Conference playoff series is set for Friday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. E.T.
