The Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed Jaxson Hayes.

Hayes started for the Lakers last season at center after Anthony Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in the Luka Doncic deal.

Hayes will come off the bench next season, as the Lakers signed Deandre Ayton to be their starter.

Hayes appeared in 56 games for the Lakers last season. He averaged 6.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks while shooting 72.2% from the field.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick benched Hayes in the second half of Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and all of Game 5.

Los Angeles lost to Minnesota in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games.

Hayes, 25, has played for the New Orleans Pelicans and Lakers. He has career averages of 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 367 NBA games.
