LeBron James missed the first 14 games of the 2025-26 NBA season due to sciatica. He made his return in mid-November and has played in seven games since then.
The Lakers forward is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.6 assists, while shooting 46.4% from the field. L.A. is also 6-1 in the games he has played in.
On Sunday, James powered the Lakers to a 112-108 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The four-time NBA MVP was sensational, as he recorded 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, including 10 straight in the closing stages to deny the Sixers' comeback bid.
As a result of the win, James made history in the process. The NBA announced that it was the 1, 015th regular-season win for the 21-time All-Star, surpassing Robert Parish for the second-most wins ever. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has more with 1,074.
The Lakers, for their part, celebrated James' accomplishment. On X, the team also shared the historic feat and emphasized that their superstar is not done yet when it comes to winning.
"& he's still going," the Lakers wrote, along with a salute emoji.

It's unlikely that James will surpass Abdul-Jabbar for the record this campaign, but he can certainly come close and set himself up to challenge the record next season should he opt to play another year.
The Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs next in the NBA Cup quarterfinal. They also have upcoming meetings against the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers this week.
