Los Angeles Lakers star guard Luka Doncic and backcourt mate Austin Reaves won't play in Monday night's road game against the Portland Trail Blazers on the second end of a back-to-back.

The Lakers listed Doncic as out on the injury report with a lower left leg contusion, the same ailment that recently caused him to miss three games. Reaves is out with right groin soreness.

Both players were relied on heavily while playing 38 minutes apiece during Sunday's 130-120 home win over the Miami Heat. Doncic had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for his 83rd career triple-double.

Doncic is averaging 41.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists. He set a franchise record with 165 points over his first four games of the season after the legendary Jerry West (154 in 1969-70) held the mark for over 50 years.

Reaves had 26 points and 11 assists against the Heat. Last week, he scored 41 points against Portland when the Trail Blazers notched a 122-108 victory over the Lakers.

Reaves is averaging 31.1 points and 9.3 assists over seven games. He scored a career-high 51 in a 127-120 win over the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 26.

Lakers big man Deandre Ayton (back) and Maxi Kleber (abdominal) are listed as questionable. Ayton missed Sunday's game. He spent the past two seasons with Portland. Kleber would be making his season debut if he steps on the court.

The Lakers were so shorthanded Sunday that little-used Bronny James received 18 minutes of playing time. Los Angeles used just nine players.

Los Angeles remains without the services of LeBron James (sciatica), who hasn't yet played this season.
