The Los Angeles Lakers are set to play the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, the NBA's first game back from the All-Star break.
Los Angeles currently sits at No. 5 in the Western Conference standings with a 32-20 record. They ended their 10-game stretch before the break with an 8-2 record.
Before the Lakers' matchup against Charlotte, the team provided an injury update on James, who has been nursing an ankle injury.
After sitting out of the All-Star Game, James has been listed as questionable for the Lakers' matchup against Charlotte, where they'll enter as clear favorites, per Underdog NBA.
They're welcoming a 13-39 Hornets team that sits at No. 14 in the Eastern Conference standings.
James, 40, is currently playing in his 22nd season in the NBA. So far this season, he's averaged 24.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game.
If James were to miss the Lakers' matchup against the Hornets, he'll have another opportunity to return to the lineup on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET.
A few named on the Hornets' injury report are LaMelo Ball, listed as probable (ankle), Mark Williams, listed as probable (conditioning) and Moussa Diabate, not on the injury report (eye).
