LaMelo Ball and Ana Montana reveal newborn son LaOne on Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day was an extra special one for Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball. Alongside his partner Analicia Chaves, better known as Ana Montana, they announced that they had welcomed their first child in January.

They officially introduced their son, LaOne, to the world on social media.

“Welcoming LaOne into the world has changed our hearts in the best way,” the couple told PEOPLE. “Family has always meant everything to us, but becoming parents has given us an entirely new perspective on love, purpose, legacy and what truly matters most.”

The news was part of a larger announcement revealing the couple’s new nonprofit called I Am Fertility, which aims to assist and support families who are seeking IVF treatment.

Chaves said she had LaOne through IVF and will now lead a nonprofit that plans to grant $5,000 each to two women for IVF and fertility treatments.

“At one point during my IVF journey, I felt overwhelmed, emotional, isolated and unsure where to turn,” she said. “That experience inspired me to create I Am Fertility as a safe space where women don’t have to face this journey alone.”
