LaMelo Ball on father LaVar: 'I'm my own man'

Future NBA guard and potential first overall draft selection LaMelo Ball isn't bothered by the idea that outspoken father LaVar Ball may think his son wouldn't be a good fit with the Golden State Warriors.

"Well, I'm my own man," LaMelo told media members on Monday when speaking about his father, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN. "He's his own man. He has his opinions, I have mine. Like I said, I feel I could play on any team and do good anywhere I go so anything that happens, I'm positive."

He continued:

"Anywhere is a great fit. I mean, it's the NBA. You put me with good players, I feel like it's even gonna be better."

It would appear neither Ball should spend too much time thinking the Warriors will use pick No. 2 on the 19-year-old. Per Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report, it's believed the Minnesota Timberwolves will draft Ball first overall unless the club trades down.

It's assumed Golden State isn't interested in moving up a single spot to land Ball's services.
