Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James will go down as one of the best players in NBA history. What helps make his case as the greatest is his longevity. Part of his impressive longevity was that he made his team a playoff contender from his early days during his first tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Throughout his career, James has appeared in 10 NBA Finals. His first NBA Finals appearance was during his fourth season in 2007 during his first tenure with the Cavaliers.
While James had already established how good he was by his fourth year, taking the Cavaliers to their first NBA Finals appearance was still a surprise.
One of James' former teammates Scot Pollard singled out the Lakers star while referencing their run in Cleveland. 18 years after James took the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals, Pollard had words for one of his impressive outings during that Finals run in which they beat the then-New Jersey Nets in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
“Lebron dragged THIS team to the finals,” Pollard wrote via his X account, putting the words in quotations.

From how Pollard made it sound, he implied that the Cavaliers did it as a team, and James did not do it all himself. That season, the Cavaliers would get swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. That was the only year James and Pollard were teammates.
The following season, Pollard joined the Celtics via free agency after they assembled the "Big 3" of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. He went on to win an NBA championship, even though he never appeared in a playoff game for them.
