On Wednesday, the LeBron James Family Foundation revealed a big announcement for Thanksgiving Day on its Instagram account.
The foundation is once again partnering with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to hand out turkeys and other items.
"Celebrating 8 years of Thanksgiving Meal deliveries with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank! Working alongside the @acrfoodbank, our team of @thetimkencompany volunteers and I Promise students packaged up more than 600 turkeys and totes full of all the seasonal fixings. Once assembled, our trusted crew of volunteer drivers from @chase, @thetimkencompany, the @ipromiseschool, and friends and family headed out into the Akron community to make the in-person deliveries, with @routific guiding the way. Spreading love and holiday spirit with every meal, we were proud to bring hope and happiness to our families alongside our partners that make it all possible."
The foundation focuses attention on kids in Akron, Ohio, which is James' hometown.
The Lakers star also has the I PROMISE Program, which offers "programs, support, and mentors" to over 1,400 students in the area.
It's quite the gesture for the Lakers star and the foundation in a continued effort to give back to the community.
