LeBron James has garnered a lot of praise over the years for his remarkable consistency, but he might have been even more consistent than you thought. James has remarkably averaged about 27 points per game for every team he played for and every single day of the week.
LeBron James' Stats By Team:
Cleveland Cavaliers: 27.2 PPG (11 Seasons)
Miami Heat: 26.9 PPG (27.0 rounded up), (4 Seasons)
Los Angeles Lakers: 27.0 PPG (6 Seasons)
Now, let us take a look at his stats by the day of the week:
Sunday: 27.3 PPG (205 Games)
Monday: 27.0 PPG (151 Games)
Tuesday: 27.3 PPG (223 Games)
Wednesday: 27.0 PPG (266 Games)
Thursday: 27.2 PPG (154 Games)
Friday: 26.9 PPG (27.0 rounded up) (269 Games)
Saturday: 27.2 PPG (204 Games)
Well, it is safe to say LeBron hasn't been taking any days off. His career scoring average is also 27.1 points per game and it's ridiculous how he has managed to maintain that average for 21 seasons. The 39-year-old is unlikely to hit that mark this season, though, as he is averaging 25.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game.
Still, LeBron is averaging more points per game than the other five players who played 21 seasons combined. It shows just how remarkable this campaign has been from a historical standpoint. You're not supposed to play this well with all that mileage on your body, but James continues to show that he will always be an exception to the norm.

Charles Barkley witnessed James' arrival to the league back in 2003 and has watched him dominate from almost the get-go. The 20-time All-Star has done so while also being a great role model and Barkley thinks it's why LeBron has the greatest story in sports history.
"I think Michael Jordan is a better player but I think LeBron's story is arguably the greatest story in sports because out of all the guys who came from High School to the NBA, he was the only one who was ready... from day one. For him to be where he started at 18 to where he is today, I think it's the greatest sports story in history. He's been a great player, model citizen.. and for a guy to come in with that much scrutiny in an age where everybody's trying to get you."
There is no doubt that some have been waiting for years to see that misstep from James, but there hasn't been one. Despite being the athlete that has had the most eyeballs on him, he has somehow stayed out of any kind of trouble off the court.
On it, for all his shortcomings that you might want to point to, he has exceeded even the ridiculous expectations that were placed on him when he was coming out of high school. If someone had told you back then that this teenager would win four titles, four Finals MVPs, and four MVPs while also being the league's all-time leading scorer, you might have laughed it off as being unrealistic.
Well, he has done just that and there is more to come as well. Who knows what more LeBron might end up accomplishing before he walks away from the game?
