LeBron James hints at bringing back headband next season
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers will sport a new-look roster next season, and it sounds like the superstar might be contemplating a new on-court look for himself as well.

James, who already will sport a new jersey number next season after bequeathing No. 23 to new teammate Anthony Davis, posted a mocked-up image on Instagram in which — along with sporting the No. 6 he wore with the Miami Heat — he’s rocking a headband.

It's not just not any headband, however. It appears James believes the style detailed in the mocked-up pic would be an homage of sorts to martial arts legend Bruce Lee.

James already hinted this offseason that he’s also considering bringing back an iconic and patented aspect of his on-court routine from early on in his career. Between that and the headband, James is clearly keen on orchestrating a “what’s old is new” mantra during the coming season.
