Over the past week, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic made waves on social media with his noticeably slimmed-down offseason look while attending a Real Madrid game in Spain.
Following those initial photos, Doncic shared images of himself working out at Real Madrid’s facilities—further drawing attention to his improved fitness. His conditioning has long been a point of criticism from fans and media alike, despite his status as one of the NBA’s elite talents.
Doncic is known for keeping a low profile during the offseason, but on Saturday, LeBron James made a major announcement that brought him back into the spotlight. James revealed that Doncic will be the next guest on Season 2 of the Mind the Game podcast, which he co-hosts with NBA legend Steve Nash.
“Look who we got on the pod tomorrow,” read the post from the "Mind the Game" social accounts, teasing Doncic’s upcoming appearance.

Fans reacted to the news:
"Bron and Luka ring szn next year confirmed," a fan said.
Someone else added, "Omgg we will be tuned in no matter what."
Another fan posted, "Oh y’all are about to trigger ESPN with this one!"
"3 of the best basketball minds the game has ever seen the IQ is insane," one more fan commented.
Doncic and James only played together during the second half of the season, and while there were some growing pains—especially evident in the playoffs due to roster limitations—their chemistry developed quickly.
By season's end, they proved they’re more than capable of playing together at an elite level as the Lakers hope to build around Doncic for years to come and continue to maximize whatever time James has left in the NBA.
The first season of James’ "Mind the Game" podcast was co-hosted by JJ Redick before he took the Lakers’ head coaching job. Now, in Season 2, fans will get the rare opportunity to watch three of the highest basketball IQs in the game—James, Doncic, and Steve Nash—sit down and talk hoops.
