In two weeks, LeBron James will open a museum devoted to his favorite subject: himself.
The LeBron James Family Foundation says it’s slated to open the first official museum dedicated to the journey and milestones of Lakers star LeBron James. It will be named LeBron James’ Home Court, at House Three Thirty in Akron, Ohio on Nov. 25, including a self-guided tour.

LeBron James' Home Court opens Nov. 25 in Akron, Ohio, James' hometown. Admission price is $23, based on James' uniform number, though it's possible that if the museum is unsuccessful, it'll change the admission fee to $6 — or move it to Miami.
The museum will feature a re-creation of James' high school arena, memorabilia from his 21-year NBA career and even a recreation of his high school bedroom.
This is still so crazy to me that this is happening!!! I can't wait for my fans all over the world to get a peek behind the curtain to see what we've built and where it all began. Ain't nobody better mess up my room either!! Only in Akron! https://t.co/rNHAIg8DPP https://t.co/TroA5VG7C3

It sounds like this is a Hall of Fame devoted to a single player, opening while his career is still going on. While it's impressive that those involved re-created his childhood home in meticulous detail, that's usually something you'll see with figures like Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. As good a basketball player as LeBron is, are people really going to pay $23 to see a re-creation of his old apartment?
Proceeds from the museum go to the LeBron James Family Foundation, so that's the excuse for the project, but it's always questionable when a person writes his own personal history. We'd be surprised if the LeBron museum has a display about "The Decision," the 2011 NBA Finals or his ill-fated TV show "Million Dollar Mile."
The Lakers will visit Cleveland on Nov. 25, which is why the museum is opening on that date. If the 3-5 Lakers are still struggling in two weeks, at least the museum will give James something to celebrate.
