After losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, the Houston Rockets were looking to get revenge as both teams met again on Wednesday. A perfect 8-8 shooting from LeBron James in the first half would stop Houston’s plans.
LeBron dropped 18 in the first half on his perfect shooting, while Luka Doncic matched King James with 18 of his own. The Lakers led 67-55 after one half of play with Kevin Durant scoring just two points on 1-3 shooting.
Would the Rockets make a comeback in the second half?
Yes, they certainly did. Led by Durant’s 13 third-quarter points, the Rockets stormed back to take a six-point lead with two minutes left in the third.
The Lakers didn’t fold, however. Led by LeBron’s incredible field goal accuracy, the Lakers regained control to win 124-116. LeBron finished with 30 points on a spectacular 13-14 shooting from the field. He also shot 2-2 from three.
Doncic led all scorers with 40 points, while adding nine rebounds and 10 assists. As for Durant, he finished with just 18 points, as the Rockets dropped their second straight game against the Lakers this week.
