LeBron James Shares His Complaints Regarding Madden NFL 25: 'Asking For The People'
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

EA Sports released Madden NFL 25 on Aug. 13 and the reviews have unsurprisingly been quite mixed thus far. Fans have been complaining on social media about some aspects of the game and noted Madden player LeBron James has now shared his complaints too. James took to X to point out some changes made in the online head-to-head mode that he isn't a fan of.

"EA Madden NFL Talk to me! Help me understand the changes (to) Online H2H. Takes some of the fun away. -Seeing who you beat or lose to after game (record wise) - knowing your record -seeing what team Your opponent is playing with before the game starts. Asking for the people."

I must say, it was quite a bizarre decision on EA's part to make these changes. All that James mentioned there, is information every gamer would want and it makes little sense to get rid of it.

Many fans have raised these complaints since the game launched, but it didn't seem like their voices were being heard. Perhaps EA will listen now, with an icon like LeBron pointing it out. All that said, while the 39-year-old doesn't like those changes, he did make it clear that he still loves the game.

"Other than that I love the game EA Madden NFL."

Interestingly, the Madden NFL 25 account on X did not respond in any way to that initial post which had the complaints, but did repost the one where James expressed his love for the game. I suppose that might indicate we shouldn't be all that optimistic that anything will change.

LeBron James Destroyed Doe Boy On Madden

With the 2024 Paris Olympics now in the books, LeBron has a lot of free time on his hands and he's unsurprisingly spending some of it playing Madden. He and rapper Doe Boy faced off recently and the games went about as you'd expect.

LeBron destroyed Doe Boy on Madden and the rapper hilariously called him a cheater due to the nature of the beatdown. In one of their games, the Los Angeles Lakers star was leading 28-7 before halftime, and in another, he was up 44-27 in the fourth quarter.

Funnily enough, these games were actually a lot closer than when they first faced off earlier this year, as Doe Boy was in disbelief at how LeBron was destroying him. The 20-time All-Star was leading 49-8 in the fourth quarter and the rapper wildly called him a "super n****."

At least, Doe Boy has managed to close the gap since then, but I doubt he'll ever get the better of LeBron. Anthony Davis reckons James is among the top 1,000 Madden players in the world now.

Davis revealed he actually beat James at the game when they were in the Bubble, but that led to him locking in and becoming the player he is today. The big man also shared that LeBron told him toward the latter stages of last season, that he beat the 164th-best player in the world. So, unless you're a Madden pro yourself, get ready for the beatdown of your life if you ever match with James online.
