LeBron James took to X on Sunday morning to share that he had just woken up from one of the wildest dreams ever. In it, James was playing for legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke inside Cameron Indoor Stadium but the scene suddenly changed into a concert held by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

"Just woke up from having a dream I was playing for Duke for Coach K inside Cameron Indoor Stadium! It was INSANE in there. Told Coach K it was an honor to suit up for him and he said the same thing back to me. He’s such a LEGEND! Then…..

"It turned right into a concert. Snoop and Dre were the performers and they was doing the song 'The Next Episode'. The roof inside Cameron damn near came off! Haha. Then my (alarm) went off and I woke up."

That was quite the rollercoaster ride. James, of course, didn't go to college as he entered the NBA straight out of high school. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the 2003 NBA Draft and the rest is history.

I'm sure Duke fans would have loved to see James suit up for them in 2003 but had he chosen to go to college back then, Durham wouldn't have been where he ended up. The Akron native has stated in the past that he would have chosen Ohio State if he had decided to go to college. If that wasn't an option, though, then James would have looked at Duke or North Carolina.

James would have dominated the competition had he gone to college. As a rookie in the NBA, he averaged 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. NBA players struggled to deal with him and one can only imagine how tough it would have been for those in college. I think there's a good chance he would have led whatever team he was on to the national championship.

Getting back to James' post, Duke basketball reacted to it on X.

"Lakers/Duke exhibition game/concert next year in Cameron?"

I wouldn't expect that to happen, but I suppose you never say never. Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick did star at Duke, of course, and perhaps he might be interested in such an idea. Time will tell.

LeBron James Had A Crazy Dream About Playing Against Michael Jordan

This isn't the first time that James has had a dream that he felt he had to share with the world. Back in March 2023, LeBron shared he dreamed about playing against Michael Jordan in college.

"Just woke up from having a dream that MJ and I was shooting the sh*+ back and forth at the Men's National Championship game between North Carolina/Duke! Great vibes and EPIC CLASSIC GAME! It was a tie game/94-94/5 secs left/NC with the ball. My a** would wake up to use the bathroom right before seeing the ending of the game. Happens all the time. Never get to the end. Anyways felt real as hell. Lol. Gm everyone."

It's a pity no one will ever know how that dream game ended and that we never got to see James face off against Jordan in real life. That would have been a titanic clash, unlike any other, and their battles would have settled the GOAT debate as well.

James will soon be turning his attention to an actual game, as the Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies next at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday at 10 PM ET. The Lakers have improved to 6-4 on the 2024-25 season thanks to a two-game winning streak and will be looking to make it three in a row against the Grizzlies.
