LeBron James sparks Cavs reunion buzz with ‘Come Home’ like

LeBron James has the internet doing what it always does this time of year: Speculating wildly about Cleveland.

Amid growing questions surrounding James’ future with the Lakers, the four-time MVP created fresh buzz Wednesday after supposedly liking an Instagram video that featured a “Come Home” message tied to the Cavaliers.

Naturally, NBA fans immediately lost their minds.

Keep in mind that James liking social media posts doesn’t automatically mean anything. The man has been linked to the Cavs basically every offseason since leaving for Los Angeles in 2018.

Still, the timing is interesting.

James is preparing to enter free agency for the first time in years while publicly acknowledging he still hasn’t decided whether he’ll even continue playing. At the same time, ESPN’s Shams Charania recently said the prevailing expectation around the league is that James will return for another season.

The question, of course, is where.

Most league observers still expect the Lakers to remain the favorite if James comes back. But Cleveland will always linger in the background because, well, it’s Cleveland.

And honestly, basketball-wise, the fit isn’t hard to imagine.

The Cavs are already built to contend around Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Add James to that mix and suddenly the entire NBA landscape changes.

The problem? Money.

Cleveland projects to be operating above the second apron next season, meaning adding James would likely require either a major pay cut from LeBron himself, a complicated sign-and-trade with Los Angeles, or significant roster reshuffling elsewhere.

None of it would be easy. But logic has never stopped NBA fans from dreaming about one more LeBron homecoming. Especially after an Instagram like.
