LeBron James to Return to Lakers vs. Bulls
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

He’s back.

Lakers star LeBron James is indeed returning to the lineup for Sunday’s home matinee vs. the Bulls, the team announced.

James has not played since the first game after the All-Star break in mid-February, sitting out with a right foot tendon injury.

Last week, reports suggested James was targeting April 7-9 to make his return. But he refuted those suggestions in a tweet.

“There wasn’t an evaluation today and there hasn’t been any target date for my return,” he wrote. “I’m just working around the clock, every day (3X a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y’all sources. I speak for myself!”

The Lakers (37-37) are in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race. James, 38, is only expected to help the cause.
