The Phoenix Suns have been active in the NBA offseason with the recent moves they’ve made. One of the major moves the Suns did was trading away Kevin Durant in a league record seven-team deal . Durant ended up with the Houston Rockets, reuniting him with head coach Ime Udoka and former teammates, Steven Adams and Jeff Green.
His time with the Suns was quite short. He was traded by the Brooklyn Nets in 2023 in hopes of giving All-Star guard Devin Booker a better chance at contending for the championship. When Durant was on the team, Phoenix was one of the best teams. However, they never had a deep playoff run and were eliminated in the second round of the 2023 postseason.
The following year, the Suns were swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the 2025 playoffs, however, it got worse for Durant and the team. Their lack of success didn’t help their playoff chances, and they didn’t qualify. From there, the organization knew they had to move on from the star trio of Booker, Durant and Bradley Beal.
On Sunday, Booker posted a video tribute for his former co-star, Kevin Durant. He posted a TikTok video on his Instagram stories that used the song “Stories About My Brother” by Canadian artist Drake. KD is a known fan and friend of the hip-hop rapper, and Booker’s song choice is the perfect fit for his farewell tribute.

As teammates, they helped the Phoenix Suns in the postseason and won a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
