Lexie Brown should be prepping for the new WNBA season, but instead, she’s been forced to fight off internet chaos. The Seattle Storm guard found herself dragged into viral rumors claiming she played a role in Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion’s reported breakup. Brown, however, quickly denied it.
Now the veteran guard has gone further, revealing the real-life damage the rumors caused. Brown, entering her ninth WNBA season and first with Seattle in 2026 after stops with the Sun, Lynx, Sky, Sparks, and Storm, said the fallout has gone way beyond gossip. What started online has turned into harassment, family stress, and safety concerns. Her latest comments were reported by Fox News on April 30.
Brown said she personally knows Thompson but has no connection to Megan Thee Stallion and zero involvement in their relationship. She also pointed out that she’s been left to defend herself alone, while neither side publicly shut down the rumors. What’s more, she revealed that her family has been targeted, she’s received death threats, and she now hires security while traveling.
“Me and Klay, we know each other, because we’re both professional basketball players. I would’ve considered him a friend, I do not know Megan Thee Stallion at all. … The truth is over there somewhere and I was expecting it to reveal itself from that side of it, the side that actually has the issue, because again, I have no idea what’s going on. I have no involvement, I’ve had no communication at all whatsoever during their relationship.”

As of now, Megan confirmed the breakup, but neither she nor Thompson has publicly addressed Brown’s claims.
Klay Thompson’s first move after Megan Thee Stallion’s cheating accusations wasn’t a statement or denial. Instead, the Mavericks star went live on Instagram, cruising on open water, looking completely relaxed. Fans definitely didn’t see that coming.
The livestream, reported April 30, came days after Megan publicly accused Thompson of cheating during their breakup. She also described the relationship as emotionally draining. WNBA player Lexie Brown later denied rumors linking her to the split.
Thompson said nothing during the stream, but fans still read into it. He played Gerald Levert’s “Casanova” while steering the boat, sparking reactions online. Some called it a subtle shade; others said he simply looked unbothered and peaceful.
