Lonzo Ball Drops Heavy Prediction for LaMelo Ball and Dylan Harper

In the modern media age, it's never been more apparent that not all professional athletes have a grip on the nuances of their sport, even if they are still playing. It's only reaffirmed the lazy narrative that people don't need lived experience to master a topic. Imagine calling archeologists frauds because they never interacted with a dinosaur?

The rise of "player podcasts" has furthered hot take culture, with preposterous former stories or eccentric analysis of current events. Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is one of many who utilize this medium and offered a bizarre and specific prediction involving his brother and a projected high-lottery pick.

On the latest episode of "The WAE Show," Lonzo pitched a set of circumstances that would dramatically shake up the NBA landscape.

"I've lowkey got Dylan Harper going to the Hornets, and I've got Melo going to the Clips."

Lonzo suggested Harper would slide to four in this scenario but did not elaborate on this projection. Everything about this idea seems far-fetched, but could Lonzo know something about his brother's future?

The confusion starts with how Charlotte could even possibly land Harper, who is the second-best prospect in the class. Unless Harper magically slides, the Hornets likely don't have a package to present to San Antonio to move up to take the Rutgers product.

The other half of Lonzo's statement should raise some eyebrows. Although the 27-year-old might not have the best grip on draft dynamics, he surely knows what's going on in LaMelo's life.

The Ball family is from the greater Los Angeles area, and James Harden has a chance to hit free agency this summer. The Clippers could want LaMelo to be their point guard of the future or somehow play the pair of dazzling offensive engines in the same backcourt.

Lonzo's comments could be hinting at a rift with LaMelo and the Hornets and could spark more rumors about a potential move this off-season.
