It's been a rough week in our Look of the Day series, but we still have two days to salvage some winnings. For Thursday night's pick, we're eyeing up an NBA player prop we absolutely love for Game 6 between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves, after taking a 2-0 series lead over the reigning champions, have lost three straight games and now face elimination in Game 6. Minnesota will need Anthony Edwards to lead the way in the scoring department, so we're expecting the young superstar to be aggressive on the offensive end in a must-win game. He's going to look to score first because his teammates haven't been much help in the last three games.
Edwards has been an effective playmaker in this series, as he's averaging 5.8 assists per game against the Nuggets. He's been a bit lucky to rack up that many dimes, though. Edwards is averaging only 8.6 potential assists per game in the series, and he's converting nearly 70 percent of them. He converted all nine of his potential assists in Game 5. That just isn't sustainable.
Despite his high conversion rate, Edwards has still gone under 5.5 assists in three of the five games against Denver. The number is skewed because of his nine-assist game on Tuesday night, but regression is coming.
