We fell short on Monday's Look of the Day because Zach Charbonnet received his fewest carries in six weeks. He looked good in his limited opportunities, but we misread what his workload was going to look like. Let's bounce back with our favorite NBA prop for Tuesday's slate.
Jonas Valanciunas isn't typically known as a defensive stopper, but this is a perfect matchup for him to rack up some defensive stats near the rim.
The Memphis Grizzlies allow the third-most blocks per game to opposing centers because they love to attack the rim, and they aren't as successful as they'd like to think. Ja Morant will also be in the lineup for the first time this season, which will only lead to more shot attempts in the paint.
Valanciunas has recorded three blocks in two of his last three starts against the Grizzlies. He's turned away two or more shots in three of his last five games overall, and his 1.3 blocks per game this season are tied for his career-high.
As long as he doesn't get in early foul trouble, Valanciunas will have numerous opportunities to contest shots at the rim and get over this plus-money prop.
