Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is back on the hardwood after undergoing successful knee surgery to fix an MCL injury he sustained during the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 40-year-old went to work with renowned NBA trainer Chris Brickley, as he seemingly works his way towards playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.
“Man it felt good to get back out there today for the first time since my MCL injury(Almost 8 weeks ago). Been at it with my rehab & training regiment to get back to form. Obviously not where I wanna be ultimately but off to a good start,” James posted on Instagram.
“Damn what a GREAT FEELING!! S/O my
brother @kevinlove for allowing me to crash his workout! And also S/O @cbrickley603 for always looking out when I’m in the city!
” he concluded.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Steve Nash filmed a live episode of the Mind the Game podcast during the Fanatics Fest event in New York last weekend. One fan asked James which NBA star he would want to play from a previous era, and the four-time champion went with Michael Jordan.
“When you’re talking about inspiration, there was nobody more inspiring to me than Michael Jordan,” James explained. “I think our games would’ve complemented as well. MJ was a flat-out scorer. He had a scorer’s mentality.
“If I had to pick him, but I know I can’t pick him because I know how social media works. You (expletive) are gonna be like, ‘Oh, you wanna play with Michael Jordan too? You played with everybody else, (expletive),” he added.
