 Los Angeles Lakers Reportedly Sign Recent 76ers Player

Louis King is coming off a season where he appeared in one game for the Philadelphia 76ers.

In that one game, King put up 20 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.

He also played in the G League and had averages of 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 39.3% from the three-point range in 32 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase Cup games and three G League playoff games). 

This summer, King was a free agent, and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that he would sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers

Via Scotto: "The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Louis King to a deal, his agent @GeorgeLangberg of GSL Sports Group tells @hoopshype."

King initially went undrafted out of Oregon in 2019. 

He has played four seasons in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers. 

Over 27 games, King has career averages of 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range.

In the G League, King has career averages of 15.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 44.6% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 66 regular season games. 

He has also appeared in six Showcase Cup games and three G League playoff games. 

The Lakers will play their first game of the regular season on October 24 against the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.
