Luka Doncic picks two players who would win NBA one v one tournament, including former teammate

Luka Doncic was asked who would be the best two players at a one v one tournament if it was held at 2026 All-Star Weekend.

Speaking on his Hot Ones appearance, Doncic picked San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama, and his former Dallas Mavericks teammate Kyrie Irving.

Irving of course is out injured and likely won’t be at All-Star weekend – but the question is hypothetical in any case.

Doncic did not pick a winner between the two, but said the pair of them would make it to the final.

“So many good players, I feel like Wemby is going to be there, one on one you can’t score on him, it’s very tough.

“The second one you got to put Kyrie in there, his one on one moves are insane. Between those two.”

In a separate segment, Doncic was asked about what it was like to play with a player with the unique skills Irving possesses.

He responded: “In the games he tried things that nobody can try. In practice he would try even more.

“When you think you stop him, he always finds a way to get to the basket. The ball-handling, you can’t learn that.”
