The numbers are officially checking out on Luka Doncic’s drastic offseason body transformation.

Doncic’s new weight was revealed by the Los Angeles Lakers on their official roster for training camp, which began this week. The five-time All-Star is listed at 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds.

The much-improved physical conditioning of Doncic has been a major storyline throughout much of this offseason. After getting criticized with the Dallas Mavericks for being out of shape, which was even cited by Dallas leadership after their shocking trade last February that sent Doncic to the Lakers, Doncic made a concerted effort this summer to shed some major pounds.

In a recent feature for “Men’s Health” magazine, Doncic spoke out on his new fitness regimen, which included major dietary and workout changes (read the details here). Images also went viral this offseason of Doncic looking absurdly slim.

Interestingly enough, Doncic was listed last season at an official playing weight of 230 pounds. But ESPN reported several months ago that Doncic actually peaked in the high 260s towards the end of his time with the Mavericks.

Another report from Doncic’s native Slovenia last month also claimed that the ex-NBA scoring champion had lost over 30 pounds this summer. While that would seemingly put Doncic closer to the 230 range, he may have bulked up some over the last month in preparation for training camp. In any case, Doncic appears to be in peak physical condition right now, even after already being rewarded with a huge max extension by the Lakers this summer.
