Magic Get Clear Message From Veteran Guard Amid NBA Free Agency Rumors

After a breakout season last year, the Orlando Magic had to fight through adversity this season, but were still able to find themselves in the playoffs. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the first round for the second straight season, but the young group continues to make strides, and that's what they plan to do in the offseason as they're ready to take the next step.

Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner will be the two players to lead the Magic for the foreseeable future, and what their supporting cast looks like will determine how successful they are. One of their role players, Gary Harris, is set to be a free agent this offseason, and it's uncertain if the Magic will bring him back.

Though it may be uncertainty on the Magic's side, Harris has let it be known where he stands when it comes to returning to the team.

“I love Orlando,” Harris said via Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel. “My kids love it here. It’s been great to be a part of what we’ve been building here in this city, but you know how the league is. There’s a lot uncertain. You never know what’s going to happen.

“So all I can do is control what I can, continue to put the work in [and] stay ready for whatever the future may hold,” he added. “But I definitely love my time here in Orlando, so we’ll see if it continues.”

Harris played in 48 games for the Magic this season and averaged 3.0 points and 1.3 rebounds.
