The Orlando Magic faithful have certainly had their mettle tested this latter half of the season.
With a slew of injuries that have sidelined Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero and now Jalen Suggs for long stretches, it just hasn’t been the promising squad fans thought in early January would be threatening to host a first-round playoff series.
The eighth-seed Orlando Magic are still without their corner piece starting guard Suggs, who's been injured since Jan. 25 with a left quad contusion.
The promising guard, now in his fourth year with the Magic, “underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove cartilage in his left knee,” as reported by the Orlando Sentinel’s Jason Beede.
Tuesday, the Orlando Magic announced Jalen Suggs will be out for the remainder of the season.

The injury bug seems to be buzzing in Central Florida, even down to the G-League level. Shams Charania reported that "NBA Dunk Contest champion Mac McClung broke his right thumb in a game against Windy City on Sunday night."

Surprisingly, McClung is available for the second game of a back-to-back against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night in Orlando, Fla. Cole Anthony is still listed as questionable.

The Magic pulled a 19-point comeback out of their hat for the first game, Sunday night, but fell short of taking the then 18-42 Raptors to overtime on a missed routine layup from Franz Wagner.

Wagner missed a point-blank layup that would have tied Magic-Raptors and sent it to overtime…

It has been a nightmare stretch as of late for Orlando Magic fans who were hoping to make a serious push into the postseason this year.
