The Kevin Durant to Golden State Warriors trade speculation has dominated the headlines in recent days. Will KD be back in the Bay Area playing his basketball? It looks like we now know the answer to that question.
According to Shams Charania on ESPN, Durant has no desire for a reunion with the Warriors. He does not want to go back.
That news will come as a blow for the Warriors who seem to be desperately searching for a superstar to team up with Stephen Curry, who is in the twilight of his career.
So, the Warriors will know that they have a very narrow chance, if that, of winning another Championship with Curry as the face of the franchise. They need to play their cards right.
With Durant not interested in a return, they will have to look at other options. And according to Brett Siegel, Jimmy Butler and Nikola Vucevic remain discussion points for the Warriors.
League sources inform @ClutchPoints that the Warriors are shifting their focus to other trade opportunities over the next 24 hours after being informed that Kevin Durant has no desire to return.

Jimmy Butler and Nikola Vucevic remain discussion points for the Warriors.
It is no secret that the Bulls have been trying to find a trade partner for Vucevic for quite some time now, although that has proven to be a difficult task.
Even recently, it had looked like the Bulls had given up hope of trading Vucevic before the trade deadline and were ready to stick with him until the summer, at least.
Now though, with the Warriors shifting their focus towards other trade opportunities, it looks like Vucevic leaving Chicago would not be outside the realm of possibility.
Of course, the Warriors might have Jimmy Butler on their radar as well after his relationship with the Miami Heat has soured and led to him seeking an exit before the trade deadline.
