Morris Sr. hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2023-24 season where he only appeared in 49 games. He last played for the Cleveland Cavaliers before being waived in September 2024, after signing with the New York Knicks.
The exact reason for the charge is being reported as casino debt. According to Morris Sr.’s agent, Yony Noy, it isn’t a fraud charge at all, just unpaid debt to the casino that is valued over $1,200.
Just so everyone understands this is zero fraud here or whatever crap outlets have said regarding fake checks or whatever the hell. This is due to an outstanding marker with a casino. Apparently if you have over $1,200 they can issue a warrant for your arrest. Absolute insanity! https://t.co/nLT5uCGMcT
