Mark Cuban on Lakers: 'I hope they go 0-82'

Mark Cuban may no longer be the majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, but that has not stopped his love for the franchise and its players. Cuban was very close to Luka Doncic and even though their relationship remains strong, Cuban doesn’t want to see Doncic succeed in Hollywood.

Cuban recently appeared on Gilbert Arenas’ Gil’s Arena podcast and gave his thoughts on Doncic’s new team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Off the court, I love Luka to death, but on the court, f**k him. I don’t want him to get hurt or anything, but the Lakers have the same color as my high school, and I threw my high school gear away,” Cuban said.

“I’m gonna hope [the Lakers] go 0-82. I love Luka to death; he’s a great guy. He’s a good guy, but f**k the Lakers.”

It is highly unlikely that the Lakers will finish 0-82 next season. The real mystery that remains is if the Mavericks will finish with a better record than the Lakers.
