The Oklahoma City Thunder will look to defend their NBA Championship in the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder went on an exciting postseason run defeating the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves to reach the 2025 NBA Finals.

In the 2025 NBA Finals, the Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers in an epic seven-game series.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City to their first championship in club history.

Mark Daigneault says Ousmane Dieng has made ‘significant steps to his body and game’

The Thunder are loaded with young talent and they proved they can win with their group.

They have their core locked up with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren.

Oklahoma City also has young players like Ousmane Dieng who are working towards a bigger role with the team.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault talked about Dieng and was impressed with his size.

“He’s been good. He’s got really good size.

“He’s still one of our youngest players because of how young he was when he came in.

“He’s made significant steps to his body and game. Much more confident now than I think he’s ever been.”

Ousmane Dieng’s career stats

Dieng was taken 11th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks and then he was traded to the Thunder.

Dieng hasn’t gotten much playing time, but there could be more opportunities for him this season as he continues to mature.

Dieng has averaged 4.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game across 109 total games.

During the Thunder’s championship season, he played in 37 games and averaged 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per contest.
