Mark Daigneault claims Lu Dort and Alex Caruso are helping Cason Wallace get better

Mark Daigneault spoke after the Oklahoma City Thunder’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans about the recent form Cason Wallace has been in.

Daigneault admitted that Wallace has been putting in the work, and players like Lu Dort and Alex Caruso have helped him, admitting that the trio has a close bond with each other.

“I think as time goes on and these guys gain more experience, they learn the league. Their instincts start to grow over time, which I think comes with experience. He’s obviously got some gifts on top of that.

“I think he’s gotten a little more intentional about his study and learning about the nuances of the game.

“I think Dort and Caruso have probably helped him with that to a degree. Those guys are very tight, and they put a lot of work in with him.”

Oklahoma City Thunder’s depth is dangerous

Despite the Thunder missing an All-Star player like Jalen Williams, they have been able to dominate against the rest of the league so far.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander claimed the Thunder are even better than they were last season, which should be a terrifying omen for the rest of the league.

When the Thunder get Williams and their other injured players back, they will be more dangerous, which will make topping them even harder.

The Thunder could be the first team since the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors to go back-to-back as NBA champions if they keep up this form.
