The Milwaukee Bucks will enter an interesting season.
The Milwaukee Bucks parted ways with Damian Lillard in the offseason, which helped them sign Myles Turner.
Also, there has been a ton of trade buzz that continues to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo after a report came out stating that he is open to playing in New York.
However, despite the speculation, Giannis remains loyal to the Bucks as Milwaukee tries to get back to contention.
Ryan Rollins first came to the Bucks at the end of the 2023-24 season on a two-way deal. He appeared in just three games.
He was originally a second-round draft pick by the Atlanta Hawks in 2022 but was traded immediately to Golden State Warriors.
Last season, Rollins started to find his footing a bit. He played in 56 games and averaged 6.2 points per contest on 40.8 percent shooting from three.
Rollins could have a bigger opportunity this season and earn more playing time.
NBA analyst Marques Johnson talked about Rollins and had some praise for the 23-year-old.
“The game has slowed down for Ryan Rollins. This is a Ryan Rollins when he started a few games when Dame was down last year that averaged almost 11 points a game.
“He played well, but he’s even better this year, and that’s on the heels of a shoulder surgery that had sidelined him for quite a bit of time. We’re not even seeing the best version of Ryan Rollins right now, but he has hit the ground running.
“That bodes well for the Bucks this season.”
If the Bucks are going to make any noise in the East, they need some of their younger players to step up around Giannis.
Antetokounmpo will do the heavy lifting, but he needs his supporting cast to play to their strengths and own their role.
That means young players like Rollins will be asked to make the most out of their opportunities when called upon.
If the Bucks do want to make an improbable run, not only do they need Giannis to play like an MVP, but they need to see some internal growth as well.
