Matt Barnes has been making waves in the NBA media world recently. Picking up a fight with Stephen A. Smith over LeBron James, the 46-year-old created quite the headlines. Unfortunately, he still continues to stir up controversies. Barnes has now issued a full-fledged rant against Patrick Beverley.

Beverley and Barnes have been going back and forth for quite some time now. While the 2017 NBA champion is still taking shots at Smith, he decided to land some serious shots at Beverley. In his latest social media video, Barnes called Beverley a ‘journeyman role player,’ and took shots at him playing overseas.

“Never in my life have I seen an NBA journeyman role player try to call out another NBA journeyman role player to try to convince himself and whoever else will listen that one role player is better than the other role player,” Barnes said.

He further added, “You, Patrick, got pushed out the league and didn’t get to finish the way you wanted to and had to go overseas and act like it was joyful and fun when you knew you missed finishing your career the way you probably should have.”

Barnes further accused Beverley of being egoistic. He pointed out how the latter, despite being a role player, is acting like a Hall of Famer. Now then, for the uninitiated, all of this started when the 14-season veteran labeled Beverley as a ‘clout-chaser.’ Calling out his tactics of aggressively calling out players to allegedly gain attention, the beef has now become a full-blooded verbal war.

Meanwhile, as the back-and-forth continues, Beverley answered him back too.

Patrick Beverley Lashed Out at Matt Barnes Following Heated Accusations

On the one hand, Barnes recently received some bitter words from Smith. On the flip side, his quarrel with the former Milwaukee Bucks star, too, is reaching new heights. Just before Barnes dropped his latest bombshell, Patrick Beverley replied with a heated rant.

I’m not Derek Fisher, bro. You can take that left, or you can take that right—however you want… you weren’t better than me in basketball at anything. Zero,” said Beverly.

This was a reference to the 2015 on-court confrontation of Barnes. Now that more shots are being fired, fans will be waiting to find out what awaits them.
