Michael Jordan’s Former Bulls Teammate Claims LeBron James Isn’t Better Than Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Or Wilt Chamberlain
Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images

One of Michael Jordan‘s former Chicago Bulls teammates doesn’t think Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is better than Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Wilt Chamberlain

Stacey King, who won three championships with Jordan in the ’90s, strongly said that James is not the GOAT.

“What you are doing in 20 years, MJ did in 13,” King said. “Let’s stop right there. You are not the GOAT. You are not going to bypass Kobe. You are not going to bypass Kareem and Wilt Chamberlain. The GOAT conversation is over.

“LeBron James will go down as one of the best players who ever played, but let’s stop the GOAT debate. He’s a great player. He’ll be on Mount Rushmore of the greatest NBA players and there’s nothing wrong with that.”

James is the leading scorer in NBA history. He’s a four-time MVP, a four-time champion and a four-time Finals MVP. The King is the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in points and assists.

However, James is 4-6 in the NBA Finals. Meanwhile, Jordan went 6-0 in the NBA Finals with the Bulls, Bryant went 5-2 in the NBA Finals with the Lakers and Abdul-Jabbar went 6-4 in the Finals with the Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in a game, went 2-4 in the NBA Finals.

Jordan won five MVPs, six Finals MVPs, one Defensive Player of the Year Award and 10 scoring titles with the Bulls. He’s first in NBA history in points per game in the regular season and postseason.

Bryant won one MVP and two Finals MVPs with the Lakers. He tragically passed away in 2020.

Abdul-Jabbar won six MVPs and two Finals MVPs. He’s second in NBA history behind James in points.

Chamberlain, who died in 1999, won four MVPs and one Finals MVP.

Celtics Rumors: Insider Provides Massive Update on Potential $100 Million Trade

The Boston Celtics have been very busy this offseason with the moves that they have made. They have already traded two starters to other teams in an effort to get under the second apron of the luxury tax. Brad Stevens made it clear that it was his number-one goal this offseason. It's not a goal he has achieved yet, as they are still around $20 million over the second apron. Because of that, it seems they have been trying to reroute Anfernee Simons after getting him back in the trade for Jrue Holiday. It doesn't look like that is imminent, though. More news: Former Celtics Forward Claps Back at NBA All-Star on Social Media After Random Troll Boston is still trying to find a new home for him, but they aren't in any rush to do so. According to Heavy Sports, the Celtics are keeping their eyes open for a trade partner, but aren't going to accept a bad deal just to part ways with him. “You never know, but the team they have now is probably the team they’ll start the year with,” one GM said. “They could get themselves involved in some blockbuster. But they’re not in a hurry to make that move (on Simons).” Simons is a good player and a good fit for the Celtics when it comes to on-court production. He is a great 3-point shooter who can get hot any night from beyond the arc. For a team that launches more 3-pointers than any other team in the NBA, Simons would be a perfect fit. He is someone who doesn't need the ball in his hands to score. More news: Celtics Front Office Slammed for ‘Gap Year’ Planning Boston is hoping to shed Simons' salary, even though it is an expiring deal. If they can't, they'll have to find some other players to part ways with in order to get under the second apron. Simons would certainly help the Celtics stay as contenders in the 2026-27 season, if he's still on the roster. Stevens will make that decision within the next couple of weeks. This past season with the Trail Blazers, Simons averaged 19.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He shot 42.6 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from beyond the 3-point line. Orioles, Blue Jays pull off unique trade midway through doubleheader

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired one of baseball's premier relievers to bolster their bullpen. In a trade with the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto is adding Seranthony Dominguez to its pitching staff, according to MLB.com's Keegan Matheson. While the move solidifies the Blue Jays' status as buyers, it's the timing of the transaction that stands out. The Orioles finished a 16-4 walloping of the Blue Jays just hours before the deal went down, and while it's not unheard of to see a player traded to a franchise his former team is visiting, the fact that the two teams will face off again Tuesday night at 6:35 PM EST makes this a truly unique swap. Dominguez may not suit up in his first official contest as a Blue Jay, but he will be switching clubhouses before the second half of the team's doubleheader. It won't take long for the veteran reliever to make an impact, either, as bullpen production has stood out for a Toronto team that has been dominating in most aspects of the game. In 43 appearances with the Orioles this season, Dominguez has posted a respectable 3.24 ERA over 41.2 innings. He hasn't quite returned to the impressive form he was in with the Phillies from 2018 to 2022, but the value is obvious for a team hoping to capture its third World Series in franchise history. The rebuilding Orioles acquired right-handed pitching prospect Juaron Watts-Brown, who was ranked as Toronto's 10th-best prospect in the latest MLB Pipeline team Top 30 Prospects list. The 23-year-old has gone 2-5 over 19 starts across High-A and Double-A this year, posting a combined 3.54 ERA while striking out 115 over 89 innings. As two teams heading in vastly different directions this season, it's a sensible move for both sides. Dominguez is an unrestricted free agent after this season, making him a rental for Toronto down the stretch. If Watts-Brown continues to show promise, though, the trade could ultimately be deemed a win for Baltimore.

It's time for the Bengals to meet their disgruntled star halfway

As Trey Hendrickson prepares to end his holdout, it's time for the Cincinnati Bengals to meet their star edge-rusher halfway. On Tuesday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Hendrickson plans to end his holdout amid a prolonged contract dispute by reporting to Bengals camp on Wednesday despite still seeking an extension. "Reporting to camp stops the $50,000 per day fines and also serves as a good-faith gesture to try to jumpstart negotiations," Schefter wrote. Hendrickson is owed $18.7M in 2025. Last season, Hendrickson led the NFL in sacks (17.5). He originally signed a four-year, $60M contract with the Bengals during 2021 free agency and later signed a one-year extension in July 2023 to keep him Cincinnati through 2025. With no guarantees beyond this upcoming season and the edge-rusher market exploding recently, Hendrickson certainly has a valid argument to demand an extension. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has few (if any) good reasons not to reward their best defensive player. Hendrickson, 30, has been one of the league's most prolific pass-rushers since joining the Bengals. Former agent Joel Corry, writing for CBS Sports, brushed aside concerns about a potential drop-off in production while pointing to Pittsburgh Steelers edge T.J. Watt's recent contract extension. As Corry noted, Watt, who became the league's highest-paid non-quarterback when he agreed to a three-year, $123M extension earlier this offseason, is roughly two months older than Hendrickson. "Hendrickson also accounted for 48.6% of Cincinnati's sacks last season while Watt was responsible for 28.8% of Pittburgh's," Corry wrote. On Monday, Schefter shared that the main sticking point in Hendrickson's contract dispute is guaranteed money, with the Bengals hesitant to provide any guarantees beyond 2025 on a potential three-year deal. As productive as Hendrickson has been for the Bengals — his 57 sacks since 2021 only trail Watt and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett — the front office should be doing everything in its power to ensure he finishes his career in Cincy. Hendrickson ending his holdout is the first step to the sides reaching a resolution. The next is the Bengals giving him an extension commensurate to his production.

Green Bay Packers: Caitlin Clark Gets Lots of Love From Green and Gold

It seems like Green Bay Packers players have a lot of love for Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark. The Packers recently posted a video of Green Bay players sharing their favorite female athletes. They provided a wide variety of answers, but Clark was among those who got named multiple times. Punter Daniel Whelan, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, defensive back Evan Williams, and quarterback Malik Willis all mentioned the former Iowa Hawkeyes sniper as their pick for favorite athlete in women’s sports. It also shows just how incredibly popular Clark has become. Although she’s missed multiple games and remains sidelined due to a groin injury, she continues to spark conversations. The first-overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds through the 13 games she’s played so far with the Fever in the 2025 season. Green Bay Packers players also have non-Clark picks for favorite female athlete Apart from Clark, other female sports stars picked by Packers players were three-time WNBA Most Valuable Player A’ja Wilson and another WNBA legend in Maya Moore. Packers quarterback Jordan Love, meanwhile, chose his wife, volleyball star Ronika Stone. Former boxing champion Claressa Shields, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, USC Trojans star hooper JuJu Watkins got mentioned, too. But the most popular pick was none other than arguably the greatest female athlete of all-time, tennis icon Serena Williams, who won a total of 23 singles grand slam titles during her astonishing tennis career.
