The New York Knicks are rolling right now.

Fresh off winning the 2025 NBA Cup, the New York Knicks picked up their 6th win in a row after defeating the Indiana Pacers.

With the Knicks down two with 10 seconds left in the fourth, Jalen Brunson made a go-ahead three-pointer with 4.4 seconds remaining.

That proved to be the game-winner as Brunson finished the game with a team-high 25 points.

Jalen Brunson called his game-winner before it happened

Brunson has proven to be the heart and soul of the Knicks.

Ever since arriving in New York, he has completely transformed the culture and has led directly to the Knicks’ success.

For the season, Brunson is averaging 28.7 points, 6.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds on 48.4 percent shooting from the field and 37.6 percent shooting from three.

After the game against the Pacers, Mike Brown revealed what Brunson said to him before hitting the game-winner.

“Our MVP. The league’s MVP Jalen Brunson. We call a timeout, we took another timeout, drew up a different play.

“And as Jalen’s walking out on the floor, Jalen turns to me and said, ‘I’m getting this win, I’m going for it.’

“And I said you do you. And he came out and came through.

“That’s what real MVPs do and I’m glad I’m a part of his team.”

Should Jalen Brunson be in MVP conversations?

Brunson is currently on track for an All-NBA selection and his consistent, high-level play during the Emirates NBA Cup and in Las Vegas strengthened that.

Brunson is once again a top-10 scorer in the league and has been nearly unstoppable in December.

This month, he’s averaging close to 30 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from three, making him so tough to stop.

The Knicks are the No. 2 seed in the East and they are on the heels of the Detroit Pistons for the No. 1 seed. Brunson definitely deserves MVP considerations if he continues to play like this.
