Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards have spent the past two-and-a-half seasons as teammates on the Minnesota Timberwolves, helping lead the team to back-to-back appearances in the Western Conference finals.

After battling through intense playoff runs together, the two have developed a strong understanding of each other’s habits — especially how they handle tough losses.

Speaking to the media on Thursday ahead of Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Conley opened up about how “angry” Edwards gets after a defeat, particularly following their lopsided 114–88 loss in Game 1.

"He always comes in the next day angry, angry coming into practice," Conley said. "You can tell with the no-nonsense to a lot of things. He's looking forward to playing. He would play the next night if we could, so I'm excited for him to get out there and improve on the first game."

Edwards didn't have a good game by his standards. The three-time NBA All-Star finished with 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting, nine rebounds and three assists.

Following the game, Edwards told the media he has to shoot more moving forward for his team to have success.

"I definitely gotta shoot more," Edwards said. "I only took 13 (expletive) shots."

Edwards had his best game of the Timberwolves’ second-round series against the Golden State Warriors in Game 3, taking 28 shots and making 13. He finished with 36 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Game 2 in Oklahoma City between the Thunder and the Timberwolves is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
