T.J. Warren most recently played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season when he was a member of the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns.

The veteran forward averaged 7.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range in 42 games (he also appeared in six NBA playoff games).   

Warren has been a free agent, and on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Minnesota Timberwolves will likely sign him. 

Via Charania: "The Minnesota Timberwolves are planning to sign free agent F TJ Warren on a 10-day contract, pending physical exam early this week, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Minnesota has monitored the 8-year NBA vet throughout the season. Warren is a career 15 points per game scorer."

Warren was the 14th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and has played eight seasons in the league for the Suns, Pacers and Nets. 

His career averages are 14.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range in 374 regular season games.  

He has also played in ten NBA playoff games (four starts).

As for the Timberwolves, they are having an excellent season and are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 42-18 record in 60 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 124-120 (in overtime).  

On Sunday afternoon, the Timberwolves will host the Los Angeles Clippers.
