After waiving him from his two-way contract in August, the Pelicans have officially re-signed center Hunter Dickinson, the team announced in a press release.
It’s a non-guaranteed training camp deal for the former Michigan and Kansas star, confirms Paul Garcia of Spot Up Shot (via Twitter), which indicates Dickinson’s new contract features Exhibit 10 language. The 25-year-old center could be headed back to the G League to play for the Laketown Squadron, New Orleans’ rebranded and relocated affiliate team.
The 7’1″ big man appeared in five games for the Pelicans last season while on a two-way contract, recording 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 42 total minutes. He averaged 17.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.8 blocks in 30.3 minutes per game over 44 appearances with the Squadron in 2025/26.
Here are a few more relatively minor transactions from around the NBA:
- The Spurs have signed former second-round pick Kendall Brown to a training camp contract, tweets Garcia. The 23-year-old wing, who spent two years with the Pacers from 2022-24, played for Boston’s NBAGL affiliate in Maine last season. In 43 appearances, with the Maine Celtics, Brown averaged 15.4 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.4 APG and 1.3 SPG on .530/.323/.719 shooting splits.
- The Kings have added big man David Muoka on a training camp deal, per Garcia (Twitter link). A 6’10” center from Hong Kong, Muoka played for the G League’s Long Island Nets last season. In 45 appearances (17.7 MPG), the 25-year-old averaged 5.6 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 1.0 BPG. Dickinson, Brown and Muoka all seem likely to be waived before the season begins, which would put them on track to earn bonuses worth up to $91K if they spend at least 60 days with their respective teams’ NBAGL affiliates.
- The Mavericks have requested waivers on Jorge Diaz Graham, according to the team (Twitter link). Diaz Graham recorded five points and three rebounds in 12 minutes during Wednesday’s preseason loss to New Orleans after signing with Dallas on Tuesday. The Texas Legends, the Mavs’ G League affiliate, previously selected the 6’10” forward/center with the first overall pick in this year’s NBAGL international draft. The Spanish big man was also part of Dallas’ Summer League squad in July after wrapping up his college career with Oregon State, averaging 7.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.2 minutes per game over the course of five outings for the Mavericks in Las Vegas.
