After the Golden State Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns, Steve Kerr spoke about the team’s young players, singling out one for special praise.

The Warriors have now won back-to-back games after a tough start to their season, including their win over the Suns in Arizona.

It was an important result for them, especially with Jimmy Butler sidelined and more key absences expected in the coming games.

Golden State will be without some key players going forward. They were already without Jimmy Butler against Phoenix and are expected to miss more names soon.

Their veterans are already missing time just a couple of weeks into the regular season, which is something that could become a problem if it continues.

Curry put it on the young guys to step up for him. And he was right about that because one of those younger players really came through for them, and Steve Kerr definitely took notice.

Moses Moody’s effort against the Suns doesn’t go unnoticed by Steve Kerr

Steve Kerr had plenty of good things to say about Moses Moody after the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Phoenix Suns.

Kerr noted that Moody started the season slowly and lost his starting spot, but has since worked his way back into regular minutes.

“I thought the bench was great. I mean, Moses was the player of the game tonight. His defence on Booker and his shooting. He was fantastic.”

He went on to highlight how well Moody’s done to get back up to speed after missing most of training camp with an ankle injury.

Kerr explained that during Moody’s absence, they found a different starting lineup that was working well, but now Moody is earning his place back in the mix.

Moses Moody emerges as key contributor for Warriors this season

Through six games, Moses Moody is putting up 10.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for the Golden State Warriors.

The 2021 #14 pick has already put together two strong performances: a 20-point game against the Memphis Grizzlies and a 24-point effort in last night’s win over the Phoenix Suns.

When given the opportunity, Moody has shown he can be a steady presence on both ends of the floor for Golden State.

With an ageing core and regular absences expected throughout the season, younger players like Moody will need to take on more responsibility as things progress.
