Myles Turner says Giannis Antetokounmpo makes the game ‘quite easy’

Turner finished his debut with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in just 29 minutes of playing time. The former Indiana Pacers star had a stellar debut, and Antetokounmpo deserves credit for it.

Earlier, Turner mentioned how Antetokounmpo’s gravity was a refreshing feeling for him. The 29-year-old center reiterated this point following the Bucks’ phenomenal start to the season.

“The style of offense, Giannis obviously makes the game quite easy, he’s incredible, I’m glad I’m on his side. He’s tough to deal with down there, man,” Turner said during the postgame conference.

He added: “He’s got gravity, one of the few guys in the league that draws that much attention. He makes the right play damn near every time. It’s very impressive being on his side.”

Over the years, Turner has played against Antetokounmpo a plethora of times, but being his teammate has made the 2x NBA Blocks champion happier than ever.

Myles Turner on ‘adjusting period’ with the Milwaukee Bucks

For the first time in his career, Turner is wearing a jersey other than that of the Pacers. Evidently, it will take him some time to get adjusted to his new team.

In fact, from Turner’s preseason debut to the season-opener, there’s already been so much difference in his chemistry with his new teammates.

“There were a couple of times in this game where you get the ball and you have no choice but to shoot it,” Turner continued. “It feels like, at times, I shoot the ball too much, but the guys are telling me they want to be aggressive and get shots up. I like how fast we play.”

Turner concluded, stating: “The adjustment period is going to be small.”

The Bucks are all set to take on the Toronto Raptors next, and it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Eastern Conference side.
